Fan

Fans are vital key components in industrial processes. As such, extended bearing service life is a critical requirement. Bearings used in industrial fans typically operate under conditions of high speed and relatively light radial loads, and are also capable of functioning in severe high or low temperature environments, as well as in settings where maintenance is difficult to perform.

Excess vibration and noise generated during fan operation have become a growing concern across the industry. Excessively high vibration levels can lead to premature equipment failure, resulting in costly maintenance, unplanned downtime and production losses. High vibration levels also increase energy consumption, while excessive noise exposes employees to a harsh working environment.

Operational challenges generally place stringent demands on the bearing solutions implemented in fans. Industrial fans are evolving toward higher performance, maintenance-free solutions and lower energy consumption—and bearings represent a key factor in enhancing fan performance.

Low operating temperatures, adequate lubrication and contamination prevention are crucial factors for extending bearing service life. The bearing products specifically designed for fans by EISENBERG are engineered to meet the unique application requirements and operating conditions of fan systems. Leveraging advanced technologies and our accumulated application expertise and experience, we have addressed all aspects of high-temperature challenges. This enables increased rotational speeds, higher air flow rates, reduced energy consumption, enhanced reliability and extended re-lubrication intervals.

Causes of Fan Bearing Damage:

1. Prolonged overload operation.

2. Gas seal failure leading to contact with corrosive gases (coal gas), causing bearing damage within a short period.

3. Poor quality lubricating oil or insufficient oil supply.

4. Exceeding rated operating conditions.

Solutions:

1. Strictly prohibit overloading the fan.

2. Regularly check the gas seal; repair any leaks promptly.

3. Ensure the quality and quantity of the fan lubricating oil.

4. Use the fan according to its rated requirements.

The E-type cage bearing is an upgraded series developed by our company. The bearing is equipped with two window-type stamped steel cages, an inner ring without flanges, and a floating guide ring guided by the cage. The original inner ring flange design has been eliminated, further optimizing the number and size of the rolling elements, increasing the bearing’s load-bearing capacity by more than 50%. Meanwhile, the rolling elements employ a self-guiding mechanism, using the cage locking points and the roller ball base surface for positioning, reducing bearing friction and wear. A floating spacer is added between the two rows of rollers, making the rollers run more smoothly and resulting in lower overall bearing vibration and noise.

The new fan series bearings offer the following advantages:

1. Higher load capacity;

2. Longer bearing life;

3. Lower noise and vibration;

4. Reduced lubrication;

5. Lower temperature;

6. Increased machine uptime;

7. Reduced maintenance costs.
